EPISODE 24 OF "MORE THAN A SITTING MAN CAN STAND"  

 " ... Ever ask one of these brass hats to outline, in detail, a post-lost war America?  They can't.  It's like trying to describe two a.m in heaven.  Now comes General McChrystal, saying we need to troop-it-up in Afghanistan, and it's deja vu all over again.

But, let's say we withdrew and officially lost the Afghanistan war.  Reaction from most of America?  'Fine, but are my two-for-one McDonald's Angus Burger coupons still good?'

ONCE AND FOR ALL, GENERALS:  There is no 'winning' or 'losing' these wars.  You're playing football on a tennis court ...."

UPDATE 09/25/09:  General McChrystal Ball tells 60 Minutes that the Afghan violence is "more than I would have gathered," and "you can't kid yourself that you know what's going on."  5 soldiers dead today.  I'll bet THEY know.  I'll bet their FAMILIES know.  You're fired, you vainglorious basterd.
